It’s been a banner week for Visual Kei announcements, folks. Between international tour expansions, anniversary revivals, and a steady stream of new releases, the scene is firing on all cylinders heading into autumn.
Let’s start with the globetrotters. BLAZE is taking the leap into Europe this October with their first continental tour—a huge milestone for the band. If that wasn’t enough, f5ve are doubling down on Australia 2026, adding Brisbane to their itinerary. These international pushes show how hungry Western and Asia-Pacific audiences are for Japanese Visual Kei right now, and the bands are answering the call.
On the release front, it’s been productive. TØ-MA, the intriguing 2.5D project, drops their third single “BLAZE OUT” on September 25—keep an eye on this one. Dark Märchen and DAT are both leaning into streaming with multiple releases before year’s end, signalling the scene’s continued embrace of digital platforms. And Fatüm is doing something special: their “Vox Dei II” showcase comes bundled with a venue-exclusive album, the kind of physical-meets-live experience that defines contemporary VK.
The live circuit is equally packed. NOMELON NOLEMON just launched their first headlining two-man tour “CANVS” with the cabs—early-stage band momentum at its finest. ABC and Janne Da Arc’s “Respect Cover 2man Live” just announced its final show, so if you’ve been meaning to catch that tribute run, time’s ticking. And in perhaps the biggest news of the week: 9GOATS BLACK OUT are coming back. The 20th anniversary revival live lands in May 2027, a genuine reunion moment that’ll have veterans and newer fans alike marking their calendars.
But maybe the most touching story is MUCC’s LuV Together 2026. Mouri’s VK family reunion is underway, and honestly, there’s something beautiful about seeing established acts create space for community and connection rather than just chasing the next headline.
