GLAY Launch "EXOFIRE" Arena Tour, Announce Taiwan Return

GLAY wasted no time marking their 30th anniversary milestone. On November 7th, the legendary rock outfit kicked off an ambitious nationwide arena tour spanning 22 shows across 11 Japanese cities—and surprised fans with a major international announcement to boot.

The GLAY ARENA TOUR 2026-2027 “EXOFIRE” launched at Osaka Castle Hall, showcasing material from their 18th album Tabisuru Riyuu wo Matsu Aida (Waiting While Traveling) alongside deeper cuts and recent singles. The setlist balanced atmospheric balladry with arena-ready anthems, reflecting GLAY’s signature dynamic range. Highlights included the anime-tied “NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN” (composed by TERU for Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2) and HISASHI’s composition “Kitanai Eiyuu” (Dirty Heroes), positioned as the band’s “next move.”

But the real bombshell? A triumphant return to Taiwan after a nine-year absence. GLAY will headline two nights at Taipei Music Center on March 6–7, 2027, their first headlining Taiwan shows since their 2018 “SPRINGDELICS” run. For Asian fans who’ve waited this long, the announcement promises to justify the patience.

The domestic arena run continues through February 2027, hitting major cities from Sapporo to Fukuoka before the Taiwan leg. Venues include Ariake Arena (Tokyo), Marine Messe Fukuoka, Sendai, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Nagoya. The tour wraps at Yokohama Arena on February 21st, just weeks before the Taipei shows.

GLAY remains one of Japan’s most resilient rock acts, and this tour demonstrates their enduring capacity to pack arenas and expand internationally. Whether you’re catching them domestically or planning a Taiwan pilgrimage, the EXOFIRE tour represents the band firing on all cylinders.
