Yui (umbrella) Solo Project 路地裏堂 Announces Emergency 2-Man Show
Visual Kei fans have reason to celebrate: 唯 (Yui), the vocalist of umbrella, has just announced an emergency two-man live event featuring his solo project 路地裏堂 (Rojiurado) alongside the intense outfit 逆しまな歯車を仮面が嗎う。 (Sakasima na Haguruma wo Kamen ga Warau).
The event, titled “DramaticS,” will take place on December 8th, 2026, at Ikebukuro Shutou—and it promises to be a dramatic shift in energy from Rojiurado’s recent output. Yui established 路地裏堂 as an intriguing conceptual project where he takes on the role of a shop owner, fronting the band with support members (dubbed “part-time workers”) who play his solo material. The project blends theatrical storytelling with guitar-driven Visual Kei sensibilities.
Just before this announcement, 路地裏堂 is set to launch with a debut one-man show called “【cinéma】” on October 30th at West Ogikubo BETTYROOM—an all-seating performance designed to be contemplative and narrative-driven. The December event flips the script entirely, transforming into an all-standing “deathmatch” format where raw energy takes precedence over visual storytelling.
What’s particularly noteworthy is the lineup. Beyond Yui and supporting members えゐむ (guitar, from 枯レタ井戸ノ底。) and 永山 銀 (bass), the drums will be handled by ネロ (Nero) from メリー (Merry)—marking his first appearance with 路地裏堂. The addition of a drummer from a respected peer band signals Yui’s serious investment in this project.
Yui hand-picked 逆しまな歯車を仮面が嗎う。 as the co-headliner, and despite the short notice, they enthusiastically agreed. This pairing promises a clash of sonic aesthetics that shouldn’t be missed.
