IQ99 Drop First Halloween Song 'Oh!透明大作戦' MV
IQ99 just delivered the spooky-yet-upbeat chaos we didn’t know we needed. The ultra-happy entertainment idol collective has released their debut Halloween track ‘Oh!透明大作戦,’ complete with a music video that’s equal parts sweet and wonderfully weird.
For those unfamiliar with IQ99, the five-member group trades in feel-good pop entertainment with a mission to “save hearts through bright and joyful entertainment.” Their mantra—”you can only live with us!”—speaks to a philosophy that prioritizes infectious positivity over trendy angst. This year alone, they’ve dropped their 3rd mini-album ‘ワンダーフライト,’ blazed through a nationwide tour spanning Hokkaido, Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo, and kept their momentum building toward their 7th solo live show.
The ‘Oh!透明大作戦’ MV itself is narrative-driven fun: a hapless, bumbling prince becomes the focus of a protagonist’s affection, who then spends the runtime warning him of various dangers while confessing their feelings. Layered over an eerie-yet-catchy melody that gradually builds into an irresistible groove, the whole thing feels like watching a Halloween romantic comedy play out in real time. Don’t miss the signature choreography either—those hand-clasping, spinning movements are precisely the kind of gesture that makes IQ99 so memorable and shareable.
The video dropped October 30th and features guest appearances from IQ99 members alongside Enodō Nozomi of にっぽんワチャチャ, adding another layer of personality to an already-entertaining package.
Speaking of momentum: IQ99 will be hosting their 7th solo live ‘TWINKLE KILLER’ on November 18th, 2026 at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo. If this music video is any indication of their current energy, it’s one show worth marking your calendar for.
