ずっと真夜中でいいのに。Drops Theme Track for Historic 2026 Nara Festival
ずっと真夜中でいいのに。 has just pulled off a rare feat: completely selling out a massive outdoor festival before it even happens. All 65,000 tickets for their October 2026 “LEGACY ZOMBIE LABO ‘Bunka Denrai’ Nara Heijokyo” event dissolved faster than organizers anticipated, forcing the band and promoters to expand the venue’s capacity just to accommodate demand.
For those new to the act, ずっと真夜中でいいのに。 (often abbreviated as ZTMY) represent a unique corner of contemporary Japanese rock—theatrical, darkly whimsical, and visually striking. They’ve built a devoted cult following through their distinctive blend of gothic aesthetics, intricate arrangements, and frontwoman ACAね’s commanding presence.

To commemorate this historic occasion, the band has guerrilla-released “Akane Sasu Koro” (“When Crimson Light Falls”), the official theme track for the event. The single dropped October 8th across all streaming platforms, accompanied by a new music video that captures the mystical energy surrounding the festival’s location at Heijokyo Historical Park—Japan’s ancient imperial capital.

What makes this festival extraordinary is its scope. Beyond the sold-out live performances, a free “Festival Area” will run throughout both October 10th and 11th, transforming the event into a full-day celebration. The band personally reached out to over 50 local Nara businesses to craft exclusive collaborations—everything from traditional persimmon leaf sushi to local craft brews and Nara-grown strawberry milk. A daytime stage will feature talks on ancient Japanese history, collaborations with Nara’s official mascot Sentokun, and performances by Open Reel Ensemble.

The band is also reissuing their 2018 album “Seishii Itsuwari Kara no Kishoku” (limited first edition grimoire format) exclusively at the festival venue and through their official web store.
