VINYL Head to Hokkaido for First Tour; "Now Is Everything"
Sometimes the most powerful statement a band can make isn’t about what comes next—it’s about what’s happening right now. VINYL proved exactly that at their recent appearance at Yokohama Bay Hall during REVOLUTION ROCKS 2026, delivering a performance that left audiences electrified and the band themselves energized for what’s ahead.
VINYL is an acoustic duo featuring vocalist Fukui Shoji and guitarist Suzuki Arata, known for their stripped-down yet emotionally intense interpretation of visual kei aesthetics. Rather than rely on full production, the pair channel raw guitar work and introspective vocals into a hypnotic live experience that feels intimate even in larger venues.

Reflecting on the Yokohama show, Fukui captured the band’s current mindset: “We took the stage thinking, ‘Let’s meet now, not someday.’ The heat generated by everyone who came—longtime fans and people seeing VINYL for the first time—created an energy beyond our expectations. It was a powerfully moving live.”
The momentum carries forward as VINYL ventures to Hokkaido for the first time, with shows scheduled for September 5th in Sapporo and September 6th in Muroran under the banner “Zero Distance Night Tour 2026.” These will be VINYL unplugged performances—the duo’s signature acoustic format, which allows for spontaneous arrangements and an evolving setlist shaped by the venue’s atmosphere.

Guitarist Suzuki offered a sobering reflection: “We don’t know how many more lives we’ll play, but the countdown has definitely started. Whether it’s VINYL or VINYL unplugged, we’re committing every venue, every stage, every fan’s smile to memory.” He added candidly that the Hokkaido dates will likely be VINYL’s final tour in the northern region.
His words carry weight. In a poignant statement, Fukui urged fans: “It’s not that the next show exists because of today—today exists, and because of that, we can move forward. Let’s meet in Hokkaido.”
