Hump Back Share "Soft Cave" Mini Album Details, Tour Announcement

Hump Back is gearing up for a major chapter as they unveil their third mini album Soft Cave (やわらかな洞窟), arriving October 14, 2026—their first release under the Echoes label.

The eight-track project features artwork by illustrator KICHI, who has shaped Hump Back’s live visuals and creative direction for years. The cover centers on a cave motif that mirrors the album’s poetic title, creating an atmospheric gateway into the band’s latest sonic terrain.

For those unfamiliar, Hump Back has carved out a distinctive presence in the contemporary Japanese rock landscape with emotionally textured songwriting and dynamic live energy. This mini album pulls together recent highlights alongside fresh material—”To That Town” began as a JR Central commercial theme before receiving a lyrical rewrite for this release. The tracklist also includes “Orange Light,” the band’s latest single, plus “Love and Rock n’ Roll,” written specifically for TV Tokyo’s Shina Pushu program. “Gurled” makes its official debut after a limited run at their Osaka Castle Hall show in May.

The full eight-track roster reads: “To That Town,” “Gurled,” “Driftwood Finale,” “Mummy Brain,” “Merry-Go-Round,” “I’ve Never Done Anything Seriously in My Life,” “Love and Rock n’ Roll,” and “Orange Light.”
