DEZERT Share "音楽" Live Video; Major 2nd Album Out October
DEZERT have marked a major milestone by releasing live footage of “音楽” (Music), a sweeping rock anthem that closed out their March performance at Makuhari Messe. The video arrives as the Tokyo-based visual kei outfit celebrates their 15th anniversary—and it’s a perfect appetizer for what’s coming next.
For those new to DEZERT: the band has built a reputation for delivering atmospheric yet visceral rock across their decade-and-a-half career. Vocalist Chiaki’s distinctive delivery pairs with layered instrumentation that spans from ethereal passages to crushing heaviness, making them essential listening for VK fans who value both melody and intensity.
“音楽” itself carries serious weight. The track was produced under the direction of Ken from L’Arc-en-Ciel, and it premiered as the finale to DEZERT’s Makuhari show—a bold choice that signals its importance. The song anchors their forthcoming major second album, also titled “DEZERT,” arriving October 28, 2026.
The album arrives in two formats. The premium edition (¥13,200) packs three CDs plus a Blu-ray with 22 songs from the Makuhari show (~148 minutes), a documentary titled “About Our ‘Music’: Beyond Endless Conflict” (exclusive to Blu-ray), and a bonus third disc. That third disc includes two radio-show-style talk segments featuring the full band, plus four acoustic performances by Chiaki—material that’s consistently fan favorites.
The standard edition (¥6,600) contains the two music CDs and the live footage on a special M-card.
Beyond the album, DEZERT are sustaining momentum through an extensive live house tour titled “Ikite Yukou Ne” (Let’s Keep Living) running November through December across Japan, culminating in an X’mas special show at Tokyo’s EX Theater Roppongi on December 25.
