Zilqy Drop Fastest Track Yet From Debut Album "Birth of Riot"

Zilqy are ramping up the intensity ahead of their first full-length album, dropping a scorching new single that pushes the band’s sound into genuinely uncharted territory.

The rising heavy visual kei act has released “CAVEAT” as the second advance track from Birth of Riot, arriving August 29 with an accompanying lyric video. Drummer Kano led the composition, crafting what the band describes as their fastest BPM track to date—and it absolutely delivers. The song opens with a relentless two-beat rhythm and crushing guitar riff that creates an almost suffocating sense of velocity, before an unexpected breakdown pivots toward sheer heaviness. Where things get interesting is the chorus: cinematic synths and an open, accessible melody coexist with the sonic brutality, embodying Zilqy’s stated artistic philosophy of merging heaviness with universal appeal.

Lyrically, “CAVEAT” confronts modern life’s relentless acceleration—exploring how individuals navigate existence within massive, inescapable systems. Director COCOA*. translates this into satirical visuals that ground the track’s conceptual weight. The band recently performed the track at Summer Sonic 2026, proving it’s already a live weapon.

The momentum around Zilqy is genuinely remarkable—less than a year into their existence, they’ve scored the cover of legendary heavy music magazine BURRN! (October 2026 issue, out September 4), complete with a 28-page feature including individual member interviews and exclusive photography. That’s the kind of exposure bands usually spend years building toward.

Birth of Riot arrives October 7 in both limited edition (¥8,800 with LP-sized packaging and 24-page booklet, Maverick Store exclusive) and standard formats (¥3,630). The album contains ten tracks and drops just ahead of the “Birth of Riot” national tour launching October 11, hitting Chiba, Miyagi, Hyogo, Aichi, Fukuoka, and Osaka before wrapping December 16 at Zepp Shinjuku in Tokyo. Tickets are already on sale.

Head to the official Zilqy Maverick Store page or standard retailers to pre-order, and stream “CAVEAT” and first single “World’s End” now.
