go!go!vanillas Release "Trickster" for Tokyo Revengers Anime
Japanese rock outfit go!go!vanillas is gearing up for an exciting collaboration with the Tokyo Revengers anime franchise. The band has just unveiled cover artwork and track details for their new single “Trickster,” set to drop on September 30, 2026—and it’s landing as the ending theme for the anime’s Bloody Halloween arc (premiering October 2).
For those unfamiliar with go!go!vanillas, the Tokyo-based quartet has built a reputation for energetic, hook-laden rock that balances accessibility with genuine musicianship. They’ve steadily grown their fanbase both domestically and internationally, and this anime tie-in represents a significant visibility boost.
The single comes in three physical formats. The CD-only edition features artwork directly inspired by the anime, showcasing protagonist Takemichi and Mikey facing off—a visual that teases how the song will interweave with the story’s intensity. The Blu-ray and DVD editions swap that for a more solemn aesthetic, centering the “Trickster” emblem logo itself.
Beyond the title track, the single includes two fresh B-sides: “Jewel,” penned by bassist Shintaro Yanagisawa, and “ICK,” composed by drummer Tatsuya Maki. Both are entirely new compositions written exclusively for this release.
The Blu-ray and DVD editions sweeten the deal with live footage from go!go!vanillas’ Scary Monsters Tour 2025–2026 arena run, specifically their sold-out show at Toyota Arena Tokyo. You’ll get all 22 songs from that performance plus a candid roundtable discussion with the band and their additional live members, reflecting on the experience.
