DEZERT Mark 15 Years With Venue-Exclusive

DEZERT Mark 15 Years With Venue-Exclusive "Alternate4"

In a bold move that doubles down on the tangible in an age of infinite streaming, DEZERT is releasing a special four-track EP exclusively at their upcoming hall tour venues this September. Alternate4 marks a historic first for the Tokyo-based band: all four members—千秋 (Chiaki), Miyako, Sacchan, and SORA—contributed original compositions to the same release.

For those less familiar with DEZERT, the band has been a fixture in the Visual Kei scene since 2011, known for their theatrical aesthetics and emotionally visceral performances. Their 15th anniversary milestone feels like a natural inflection point—and this project certainly signals a band unafraid to chart new creative territory.

The band’s statement on the release is particularly compelling. Rather than simply push Alternate4 to Spotify or Apple Music, DEZERT explicitly rejected that route. They want fans to hold a physical object, to receive music directly at a live venue—a deliberate rejection of algorithmic convenience in favor of human connection and ceremony. It’s a philosophy that feels increasingly countercultural, and all the more powerful for it.

The four tracks—”Welcome To The End,” “TOXIC,” “鬱鬱鬱,” and “Elama.”—showcase each member’s individual musical voice while collectively representing DEZERT’s next chapter. Instrumental versions are included on the CD, doubling the replay value.

The 15th ANNIVERSARY HALL TOUR 2026 “Welcome To My Beginning” kicks off September 12 at NHK Osaka Hall, with dates also scheduled for Nagoya and Tokyo. Tickets are ¥7,700 and available now through major Japanese ticketing platforms (eplus, ticket pia, ticket board). A subsequent live house tour across Japan follows in November and December.

This is, the band hints, merely the overture to their next full-length album. If Alternate4 is any indication, that record will be worth the wait.

Head to DEZERT’s official site for the full anniversary project details, and secure your tickets through eplus, ticket pia, or ticket board. Follow their socials—X, Instagram, and YouTube—for future updates.
