ASAGI Releases "Tenrinzoku" Single; Birthday Finale Announced
After two decades as a solo artist, ASAGI—the enigmatic vocalist and creative force behind some of Visual Kei’s most theatrical and lore-driven projects—has unveiled a work that transcends the typical single release format. “Tenrinzoku” (Celestial Prison) arrived on August 6, 2026, marking not just a musical milestone but a narrative culmination that’s been building across his entire 20th-anniversary year.
The conceptual backbone draws from the Jinwu (Golden Crow), a three-legged solar bird from East Asian legend. ASAGI has woven this mythological creature into his sprawling fictional universe, crafting an elaborate epic that intersects with the mythology of his lunar-realm storytelling. The accompanying music video spares no visual extravagance: a throne ignited by solar heat, colossal black wings, countless chains, and meticulously rendered representations of the crow’s third leg. The result is a densely layered visual experience designed to reveal new details with each viewing.

The single contains two tracks: “Tenrinzoku” and its B-side coupling, “Kokuruuo Idoso.” Throughout the nationwide tour, exclusive postcards bearing different “charges” or “crimes” have been distributed at each show—a playful yet purposeful element that deepens the narrative immersion.
However, ASAGI makes clear that the work truly reaches completion only on the stage itself. The tour finale—his 20th-anniversary birthday celebration—takes place on August 28 at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo, serving as the “final execution” of “Tenrinzoku.” This is where the story arc closes.
VIP S-tier tickets (¥22,000) come bundled with exclusive collector’s items: a limited DVD containing the music video and behind-the-scenes footage, a “confession card” for writing one’s own crimes, chains used in the MV, and a Jinwu feather specimen. These aren’t mere merchandise—they’re artifacts of narrative participation.
The release is now available across all major streaming and download platforms worldwide. General tickets (¥6,600–¥11,000) for the birthday show go on sale August 21 via Pia’s ticketing system.
