04 Limited Sazabys Return with 'VIEW' EP and Tattoo Artist Collab
After nearly two years away, 04 Limited Sazabys are making a statement with their upcoming EP ‘VIEW’—and they’re bringing some unexpected creative firepower with them.
The Tokyo-based rock outfit will release ‘VIEW’ on September 30, 2026, featuring three brand-new tracks alongside a cover that reaches back into the golden age of Japanese melodic punk. The band has tapped B-DASH’s explosive early-2000s anthem “KIDS” for the project, a deep-cut that speaks to the band’s love for the genre’s underground heritage.
What makes this release particularly interesting is the visual direction. For the first time, 04 Limited Sazabys have enlisted tattoo artist and graphic designer TAPPEI to design the EP’s artwork. The collaboration between TAPPEI and GEN (bassist and vocalist) was born from their existing friendship, and given the band’s track record of bold packaging design, fans should expect something visually ambitious when the physical edition drops.
The standard CD+Blu-ray edition (¥4,444) bundles more than just new music. The included Blu-ray captures the band’s inaugural outdoor free live, “HOMESICK,” held on April 4, 2026 in Toyohashi, GEN’s hometown. Shot as both live performance and documentary, the footage documents a sold-out show with an eclectic setlist mixing classic tracks and deeper cuts.
To support the release, 04 Limited Sazabys will embark on their first major tour in roughly 18 months. The “VIEW tour 2026” spans nine dates across Japan’s major venues, running from October through November. Dates include stops in Yokohama, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo (two nights at Zepp Haneda), Sendai, Sapporo, and Nagoya.
