The Benjamin Announce 12th Anniversary Tour "BECOME THE BORDER"
The Benjamin are kicking off a major milestone celebration this fall with the announcement of their 12th anniversary tour “BECOME THE BORDER,” which will take them across Japan over the next eight months.
For those unfamiliar with the group, The Benjamin are a Tokyo-based rock outfit built on a singular concept: every member handles vocal duties. Fronted by “Miney” Akimori (vocals, guitar), “Tacky” Takuma (vocals, guitar), and “Mashoe” Masatoshi (vocals, bass), the band has carved out a niche as one of visual kei’s most distinctive acts. Their “innovative and cute rock” sound pairs infectious pop sensibilities with genuine rock edge, while their live shows are known for the kind of energy and humor that puts audiences in immediate good spirits.
The tour kicks off September 10 at Tokyo’s Shibuya Deseo and concludes February 7, 2027 at Akabane ReNY α, hitting six venues across the country including stops in Nagano, Nagoya, and Osaka. Two of the shows—the September 10 Shibuya date and October 16’s Shinjuku performance—double as birthday celebrations for Mashoe and Tacky respectively.
Beyond the tour itself, The Benjamin are ambitious about marking this anniversary: they’re running a parallel project to complete their 100th original composition by the time the tour wraps. Every attendee will receive a download card featuring unreleased tracks that differ by venue, making each show feel genuinely special rather than interchangeable.
Ticket details are straightforward. Standard advance tickets run ¥4,000, with day-of purchases at ¥4,500. The VIP tier (¥5,000) includes priority entry, a special picture ticket, and a four-shot photo session pass. VIP pre-sales for the September and October shows open July 3 at noon and run through July 12.
