Ricky Joins Harezaの日 Festival Lineup for August 2nd
Summer just got hotter in Ikebukuro. Ricky, the veteran vocalist behind two decades of Kamen Rider soundtrack dominance, has just been announced as an emergency addition to the Harezaの日 6th Anniversary Summer Festival 2026—and he’s taking the stage on August 2nd.
If you’re not already familiar with Ricky’s credentials, here’s the quick rundown: he first emerged in 2001 as part of DASEIN, a major-label unit launched on Avex alongside drummer Joe (formerly of SEX MACHINEGUNS). But it’s his work since 2005 that’s cemented his legacy in tokusatsu fandom. For over two decades, Ricky has served as vocalist for RIDER CHIPS, the official Kamen Rider band, penning and performing iconic theme songs and insert tracks across multiple iterations of the franchise—from the soaring “ELEMENTS” for Kamen Rider Blade to the high-octane “What’s your FIRE” for Kamen Rider Gachard.
What sets Ricky apart is the combination of technical vocal prowess—a flexible high tenor range that can shift between powerful and intimate—paired with expressive phrasing refined through his background in chanson. Beyond his franchise work, he’s also an accomplished songwriter and solo artist, maintaining an active presence across multiple creative outlets.
In his official comment, Ricky expressed genuine enthusiasm about the booking: “When people think Kamen Rider songs, they think Ricky! After twenty years with RIDER CHIPS, I feel like I’ve finally found an event that suits me perfectly. I’m the final trump card for Harezaの日—let’s burn it down together, right to the core of our hearts.”
The festival runs July 31st through August 2nd at Club Zy in Ikebukuro. Full performance details will be announced later, but Ricky’s slot on the final day suggests organizers are building toward a major crescendo.
