Mazari Release First Artist Book with Four Cover Variants

Mazari Release First Artist Book with Four Cover Variants

Nagoya’s most enigmatic dark idol collective is stepping deeper into the spotlight with the release of their debut artist book—a comprehensive 224-page document that finally pulls back the curtain on the masked mystery that has defined Mazari since their formation in 2024.

Titled “Mixed ~ Mazari Book ~” (混 -マザリ本-), the publication arrives August 25, 2026, published by Rittor Music. For those unfamiliar with Mazari, they’re a seven-member ensemble built on the concept of “mingled hatred”—channeling curses, jealousy, revenge, and inner darkness through a sound that evokes 1990s Nagoya-scene Visual Kei while incorporating contemporary metal ferocity. The group’s striking noh mask imagery and theatrical presentation immediately garnered viral attention, but this book marks the first official deep dive into who these artists actually are.

The contents span seven sections: archival band photography, a complete activity timeline, live documentation from their EX THEATER ROPPONGI showcase, member interviews paired with self-produced pages revealing personal tastes, exclusive kimono collaboration coordinates with the iroca brand, insights from their rotating live band lineup (featuring members of DEVILOOF, lynch., and 摩天楼オペラ), and—crucially—band score transcription for “こっくりさん” (Kokuri-san) annotated by Leda, the bassist/guitarist whose production work has been instrumental in bridging idol and metal audiences.

Four distinct cover editions are being distributed through different channels: the “Noh Mask” edition hits general EC retailers (excluding Amazon); the “Resentment” edition launches on Amazon; the “Curse” edition receives live venue presales during their August tour; and the “iroca” edition is available through pre-order on T-OD from July 8–20. All versions contain identical interior content at ¥3,300 (approximately $22 USD).

Accompanying merchandise includes limited-run t-shirts in short and long-sleeve variants, both priced at ¥4,950 and ¥5,500 respectively, with shipping expected post-launch.

For Western fans seeking to understand Mazari’s evolution and the broader resurgence of Nagoya’s theatrical darkness, this is essential reading. Check Mazari’s official channels and the T-OD retailer for pre-orders and tour announcements.
