ASAGI Unveils "NAKED HEART IGNITION" Feat. HIROKI
There’s a special kind of magic when Visual Kei artists collaborate to celebrate one another—and ASAGI is about to deliver exactly that with a stunning new single honoring his bandmate HIROKI’s birthday.
ASAGI feat. HIROKI is releasing “NAKED HEART IGNITION,” a meticulously crafted track that slots into ASAGI’s expansive vampire narrative universe as a thrilling side story. Written specifically to commemorate HIROKI’s birthday, the single launches July 18 at an out-of-store event held at Studio Rosarium, with full retail details coming later.

For those unfamiliar with ASAGI, the vocalist has spent two decades building an intricate vampire mythology across his solo work—a dark, cinematic world that continues to captivate Western fans discovering Visual Kei’s more theatrical storytelling traditions. This new single deepens that lore with guest musicians including Gil (Angelo, ex-Vidoll) on guitar, YUCHI (sukekiyo) on bass, and HIROKI (D) on drums.
Musically, “NAKED HEART IGNITION” boldly incorporates Arabian scales into its arrangement, blending exotic melodic flourishes with dramatic emotional swells that evoke scorching desert heat and smoldering passion. The title itself carries hidden meaning—rearrange certain letters and HIROKI’s name emerges from the title’s structure, a playful touch that underscores how personal this collaboration truly is.
The single arrives as a three-song CD featuring ASAGI’s lead vocal version, a special vocal rendition by HIROKI himself, plus an instrumental. The reversible jacket showcases both artists in striking imagery: HIROKI as the character “Wilderness,” and ASAGI in her regal “Amira” form, a princess reclaiming her ancient power. It’s a visually compelling package released through God Child Records.
ASAGI is currently mid-tour with his “天輪獄” (Tenrinzoku) anniversary circuit, with dates running through late August. HIROKI’s birthday celebration concert happens July 20 at Club Phase in Takadanobaba—the perfect venue to commemorate this collaboration.
