Verde/ Unleashes "Static Eden" with Hyperpop-Infused Metalcore
Verde/ is pushing into bold new territory with “Static Eden,” a devastating single that merges the band’s signature post-hardcore and metalcore attack with hyperpop elements for maximum sonic impact. Released today, the track arrives alongside a striking music video that captures the duality embedded in its title—the beauty and destruction inherent in a frozen paradise.
For those new to Verde/, the band has been carving out a reputation for uncompromising heaviness wrapped in poetic, cyberpunk-influenced lyricism courtesy of vocalist Shou. This latest offering represents a marked evolution: the instrumentation is simultaneously precise and abrasive, with the new hyperpop influence adding an unexpected textural dimension that prevents the song from settling into predictable territory.

The accompanying visual unfolds as a fragmented journey through neon-soaked urban isolation, juxtaposing cold, metallic cityscapes with blinding flashes of surreality. It’s a fitting translation of “Static Eden”—the concept of beauty found in stillness, obsession with the unchanging, and the raw impulses lurking beneath the surface.
Verde/ is celebrating the release with a two-part show at Shimokitazawa Shangri-La on June 5th. The first part offers their inaugural free live (“First Free GIG”), providing an accessible entry point to experience their current sonic direction. The second half transforms into a full-scale release party, “Decoding Eden,” which will explore the “Static Eden” universe in greater depth while building on momentum from their recent “Spring Circuit: Pulse / Static Eden” tour.
The single is available now across all major streaming platforms and through physical retail, with a pop-up event running through June 14th at Ultra Shibuya featuring live photos, vocalist Shou’s worn stage costumes, and exclusive merchandise.
