SHAZNA Launch 6-Month Digital Single Series With "Love Banquet"
SHAZNA is ramping up their 30th anniversary celebration in style: the legendary visual kei band has announced a six-month consecutive digital single campaign, with the first installment dropping on Tanabata (July 7th). Welcome to what promises to be an exciting era for one of Japan’s most enduring gothic rock acts.
For those new to SHAZNA, the band emerged from the visual kei underground in the mid-90s and has maintained a devoted international following ever since. Their theatrical approach to rock—all ornate styling, dramatic arrangements, and emotional depth—helped define the movement’s sound during its golden era. Now, nearly three decades into their career, they’re showing no signs of slowing down.
The debut single is titled “Love Banquet”—a track that translates its name quite literally, painting scenes of sweet indulgence and calculated thrills unfolding across a single night. Written and composed by IZAM, with arrangements by the full band, it marks their first new material since the 2024 album Sankasaken, making this a genuinely long-awaited moment for fans.
But SHAZNA isn’t just dropping singles into the void. They’re hitting the live circuit hard alongside this campaign. Their 29th anniversary live show takes place August 29th at Shibuya Pleasure Pleasure in Tokyo, with both matinee and evening sets featuring completely different setlists. The annual Beautiful Halloween Party returns in October across multiple dates, and a new two-man live series called “VERSUS” kicks off in November.
