Ricky.A.P Returns with Acoustic Summer Dinner Show in August
Ricky.A.P is turning up the heat this summer with a decidedly elegant twist. The Visual Kei soloist behind the legendary project HyperNeoSoloist has announced Ricky.A.P 818 Acoustic Summer Carnival “Hyper★Cooling Festival ‘26” — a dinner show that promises to satisfy both stomach and soul with a carefully curated blend of original material and summer cover songs.
For those new to Ricky.A.P’s world, this is the creative vehicle of a musician who’s become known for genre-blending arrangements and theatrical presentation. This year marks a significant milestone: the event will take place at Tsukiji Blue Mood, marking the artist’s first one-man show at this venue. The addition of a full dinner service elevates the experience beyond a typical live performance, transforming it into something closer to a cabaret experience.
The lineup reads like a who’s who of talented session musicians. Joining Ricky on stage will be guitarist Manabe Kaga, bassist YUCHI, keyboardist Okubo Kei, percussionist Shinpei, vocalist and chorus performer Yamada Takumi, and saxophonist Tsuda Seigo — a returning favorite from previous editions of this summer series.
The setlist will weave together Ricky.A.P originals with carefully selected summer-themed covers, creating what the artist describes as a festival that fills both the appetite and the heart. “It’ll be gorgeous,” Ricky promises in his announcement.
