黒夢 Premiere "少年" & "NEEDLESS" MVs From Twin Remake Albums
Legendary Visual Kei stalwarts 黒夢 are diving headfirst into their own legacy with a pair of simultaneous self-cover albums arriving this summer—and they’re kicking things off with simultaneous music video premieres for two of their most iconic tracks.
The Tokyo rock outfit, anchored by vocalist 清春 and bassist 人時, will unveil full-length music videos for “少年” (Shonen) and “NEEDLESS” via YouTube premiere on June 21st at 9 PM JST. Both clips herald the arrival of CORKSCREW 2026 and Drug TReatment 2026, reimagined 2026 versions of their late-‘90s cult-defining albums.
For those unfamiliar with 黒夢’s trajectory: the band emerged in 1994 as one of Visual Kei’s most visceral acts, scoring consistent chart dominance throughout the 1990s before an indefinite hiatus in 1999. After a one-off reunion concert at Nippon Budokan in 2009, they formally disbanded, only to resurrect themselves in 2010. Following sporadic activity over the past fifteen years, 黒夢 staged a major revival in February 2025, culminating in a nationwide Zepp tour and festival appearances last summer.

“少年,” their most commercially successful single, receives a fresh visual interpretation, while “NEEDLESS”—long a fan favorite despite never receiving an official video—finally gets its moment in cinematic form. Both MVs will also appear on Blu-ray discs bundled with the limited-edition CD+Blu-ray editions, alongside behind-the-scenes content and documentary footage from their 2025 Zepp tour.
Each album spans 12 rerecorded tracks, with CORKSCREW 2026 dropping tracks like “MASTURBATING SMILE,” “FASTER BEAT,” and “ROCK’N’ROLL,” while Drug TReatment 2026 features “MIND BREAKER,” “DRIVE,” “C.Y.HEAD,” and others. Both arrive July 15, 2026.

The limited editions retail at ¥7,700 ($52 USD equivalent), with standard CD-only versions at ¥3,850. Pre-order bonuses vary by retailer—Tower Records
