Plastic Tree Year-End Request Live Features Flower-Themed Songs
Plastic Tree is taking fan participation to the next level this December with a special request-focused year-end performance centered entirely around flower-themed songs from their three-decade catalog.
For those less familiar with the band: Plastic Tree emerged from Tokyo’s visual kei underground in 1993, founded by vocalist/guitarist Arimura Ryutaro and bassist Hasegawa Masashi. They achieved major label status in 1997 with “Wareta Mado” and have since become neo-visual kei pioneers, balancing aggressive guitar work with surprisingly pop-accessible moments. Their theatrical presentation and conceptual depth have earned them an international following since their 2006 world tour. As they approach their 30th anniversary in 2027, the band continues to tour extensively without missing a beat—a rare consistency in a scene known for hiatuses and lineup instability.

The show, titled “Plastic Tree Year-End Performance 2026: Going Plastic, Coming Plastic ~Songs for The Flowers of Romance~,” takes place on December 27, 2026, at Kawasaki’s Caratz Hall in Kanagawa Prefecture. Rather than a standard setlist, Plastic Tree will accept fan requests exclusively for tracks with floral or botanical themes—a clever thematic frame that promises deep cuts alongside fan favorites.
Details on how to submit requests will be announced later. The band’s official fan club is currently accepting first-priority ticket lottery reservations through July 6, 2023 at 11:59 PM. General ticket sales begin November 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
This announcement lands perfectly timed with Plastic Tree’s ongoing “Phylogenetic Tree Live 2025/2027” tour, which reimagines each of their studio albums as distinct concert experiences. It’s another reminder that after 30+ years, Plastic Tree remains creatively restless—and their fanbase clearly rewards that ambition.
