D≒SIRE Confirm Ongoing Activities After 30-Year Reunion

It’s rare that a reunion performance becomes so much more than a one-off celebration—but that’s exactly what’s happened with D≒SIRE.

The legendary Visual Kei outfit, which originally disbanded decades ago, pulled off a triumphant return in May 2026 with a special two-day reunion show at Tokyo’s Shinjuku ReNY featuring the classic lineup for the first time in three decades. The response was overwhelming enough that the band has made a major announcement: they’re staying together.

D≒SIRE members reunited on stage

According to their official statement, vocalists Yukiya, Seishi, Tachibana Mai, Hideaki, and MIE have unanimously decided to continue performing as a five-piece unit on a limited-time basis. Rather than let the momentum fade, the band is now setting a tangible goal: a full-scale one-man show in May 2027, exactly one year from their initial comeback.

“This is our last chance,” the members reflected candidly. “We want to complete D≒SIRE without regrets.”

Between now and that target date, the band will be undertaking limited live activities to build toward the final show. The first of these dates lands this August at GT Live Tokyo, followed by a September return to the same venue and an October performance at Takadanobaba Club Phase. Note that scheduling constraints mean Seishi won’t be able to participate in every appearance—a detail worth tracking if you’re planning to catch specific lineups.

For those unfamiliar with D≒SIRE’s legacy, they’re a cornerstone act in Visual Kei’s golden era, and their original material remains essential listening for fans exploring the genre’s theatrical, symphonic roots. This window of activity represents something genuinely special: an opportunity to witness one of the scene’s defining bands performing with full original intent.
