BabyKingdom's Forest Fantasy: 10 Years of Musical Theme Parks
BabyKingdom wrapped their spring tour finale with a message that cuts straight to the heart of their decade-long mission: happiness isn’t something you chase—it’s already inside you.
For those unfamiliar with the band, BabyKingdom has spent the last ten years building what they call a “Music Theme Park,” transforming each release into a theatrical narrative complete with character costumes, elaborate stage designs, and narratives drawn from folklore and fantasy. They’re not your typical rock outfit—this is entertainment as immersive experience, blending visual spectacle with genuinely inventive songwriting.
The “FOREST FANTASIA” tour finale centered on their latest single, “Happiness Hide and Seek” (ハピネのかくれんぼ), a whimsical concept piece about a fairy named Happiness hiding in a deep forest. Vocalist Sakugo took the stage as an antlered forest spirit, while guitarist Shiki embodied a hunter, bassist Moniyo was wrapped in wolf jaws (a darkly comedic visual), and drummer Toramaru played the guardian spirit of a forest spring. The song itself weaves Celtic musical elements into pop-rock sensibilities—major-key melodies that reject the minor-tuning convention of Visual Kei bands.

The setlist pulled from their entire catalogue—”Neverland,” “Dinosaur Hymn DINOBOY,” and “Chocolate Caddy Punch” created whiplash between moods, yet each track reinforced the tour’s central philosophy. The encore ignited the crowd with tracks like “Paradation” as fans initiated a synchronized side mosh during “HeartBeat.”
But the real news came via a teaser video: BabyKingdom’s next attraction drops June 24th. Called “ROYAL×FLASH,” it’s poker-themed—Sakugo is King, Shiki is Jack, Moniyo is Ace, and Toramaru is Queen. The single also finally gives studio treatment to the fan-favorite live staple “Wishing Star.”
The 10th-anniversary timing is deliberate. A Royal Straight Flush traditionally uses five cards (K-Q-J-A-10), so fans become the “10,” symbolizing a decade built collectively with their audience.
What’s next: The 10th-Anniversary “IT’S MY TURN” tour runs June 25–July 26, culminating at Osaka Muse. “ROYAL×FLASH” arrives June 24th in two editions. Keep up with tour dates and pre-orders via BabyKingdom’s official channels.
