キズ Announce Activity Hiatus in February 2027
After nearly a decade of raw emotional intensity, キズ (Kizu) has announced they will enter a partial activity hiatus beginning February 27, 2027. The band’s decision marks a significant pause in their trajectory since their 2017 debut.
Since emerging onto the Visual Kei scene, キズ have built a devoted following through their unflinching exploration of pain, loneliness, and the duality of life and death. Their live performances are legendary for their ferocity—these aren’t shows meant to be passively observed. The band’s sound pairs crushing instrumental heaviness with deeply introspective, often darkly poetic lyrics that resonate with fans seeking substance over spectacle.
In their official statement, キズ explained that the hiatus was reached after careful consideration of their artistic direction. “In order to present キズ in a better form going forward, we determined that each of us needed time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves,” the band shared. Importantly, this isn’t a permanent dissolution—the band has left the door open for a return, though no specific timeline has been announced.
Rather than fade quietly, キズ are going out swinging. On August 5, 2026, they’ll release their first and final album before the break: Gokuraku yori Gokujou no Ame (Paradise’s Superior Rain). Following that, they’ll embark on a nationwide Zepp tour spanning September through October 2026, hitting Tokyo, Sapporo, Yokohama, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Osaka.
