Akari Shirase Launches Music Career with "Flavor" EP

Content creator Akari Shirase is officially stepping into the music industry. Known across TikTok as “azatokka~” (literally “shameless”), the influencer has built a massive following of 1.8 million across all social platforms, balancing video creation, modeling, and various business ventures. Now, she’s adding recording artist to her resume with the release of her debut EP.

The four-track EP, titled Flavor, arrives June 24th on both CD and digital platforms. Distributed by Daiki Sound and 2026 ROSE CREATE, the release marks a significant expansion of Shirase’s creative output and signals a shift in how she wants to be perceived by her fanbase.

In an extended statement, Shirase discussed her evolution from an “appealing” character archetype aimed at male audiences to a more rounded content creator with equal male and female viewership. That duality directly informs Flavor. The lead single features bold choreography and sharp visuals with Shirase performing in a chocolate bath—a deliberately high-impact music video moment that encapsulates her confident public persona. The accompanying track, “Scroll,” intentionally presents the opposite side of her personality, creating a thematic pair that asks listeners which version of Akari Shirase resonates with them most.

The EP also includes “Strongness’s Whereabouts” and “Calling U.” Her lyricism emphasizes strength and resilience—a conscious choice that aligns with the “strong woman” image Shirase has cultivated across her platforms.

The CD is priced at ¥1,650 and includes trading cards as bonus material at select retailers. An in-store event is scheduled for July 3rd at Tower Records Shinjuku, where fans can meet Shirase and pick up exclusive merchandise.
