THE BEETHOVEN Unveil "Angel" Single & 13th Anniversary Tour

THE BEETHOVEN are celebrating 13 years as a band with a bang—a brand new single and a full-scale anniversary tour hitting five cities across Japan this May.

For those new to the band: THE BEETHOVEN is a dream supergroup assembled from some of Visual Kei’s most distinctive voices. With members who’ve each carved out serious credibility in the scene, they’ve built a reputation for melding hard-hitting, chemical-tinged production with surprisingly emotive melodies. Their ninth single, “Angel,” doubles down on that formula.

The new key visual dropped recently, and the single itself balances abrasive, synth-driven soundscapes with an almost anthemic sense of release—tempered by flickers of melancholy that cut right through the noise. It’s classic BEETHOVEN: cerebral but visceral.

The “Classical × Thirteen” anniversary tour kicks off May 14th in Saitama and wraps on May 31st—deliberately chosen as the band’s actual founding date—at Tokyo’s Shibuya REX. Between those bookends, they’re hitting Nagoya, Osaka, and Yokohama, each date featuring special post-show events: everything from signing sessions and photo ops to extended live sets and behind-the-scenes talk.

Tickets go on sale April 20th via Ticket Pay, priced at ¥5,000 advance / ¥5,500 at the door (plus one drink). The “Angel” single drops May 14th—same day as the first show—on CD via their label BadeggBox, containing two tracks: “Angel” and “Scar.”

If you’ve been following THE BEETHOVEN or are curious about where the cutting edge of Japanese visual rock is heading, this tour and single are unmissable. Grab your tickets now at the links below, and mark your calendar.
