Seventh Vega Releases "Cryter" Studio Live Video

Seventh Vega is treating fans to an intimate peek behind the curtain with their “7thStudio #2” Studio Session Movie Project, rolling out exclusive studio live footage across three specially chosen dates this month.

The Tokyo-based Visual Kei outfit is staggering the release of three studio performance videos throughout May, dropping one track each on the 7th, 17th, and 27th—deliberately selecting dates containing the number 7, a nod to the band’s name. The project kicked off on May 7 with “卵と牛乳とレコード” (Eggs, Milk, and Records), a track that won fan votes through Seventh Vega’s official newsletter community.

On May 17, the project’s second installment showcased “Cryter,” a track that originally hit streaming platforms in July 2024. The song captures the melancholic isolation of sleepless city nights—a contemplative piece anchored by mellow, inviting soundscapes that feel right at home in a stripped-back studio setting. Rather than burying the track in production flourishes, the high-quality studio live performance lets the composition’s emotional core shine through unfiltered.

The production values behind these videos are clearly stellar, with Tatsuya Kawasaki helming direction, editing, and color grading, while a full technical crew ensures pristine audio and lighting. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes craftsmanship that transforms a simple performance video into something genuinely cinematic.

Studio session announcement

Fans won’t have to wait long for the final reveal. The third and final studio live video drops May 27 at 7 PM JST—though the band is keeping the track selection under wraps for now. All videos are available on Seventh Vega’s official YouTube channel, so head there to catch what you’ve missed and stay tuned for the grand finale of “7thStudio #2.”
