MUCC to Appear on いじくりROCKS! + Quest Live Plans
After nearly a year apart, MUCC—one of Visual Kei’s most enduring and influential acts—will reunite all three members for a live studio appearance on the web broadcast いじくりROCKS! (#75) on May 19, 2026.
The 75th episode of the music information live show, hosted by MAVERICK DC GROUP, will air at 7 PM JST and feature MUCC’s Tatsuro as MC alongside NoGoD’s 団長 as assistant host. This marks a significant moment for the band, who are currently celebrating their 29th anniversary and continue to draw support from fans across Japan and internationally.
The appearance comes with exciting news for longtime fans. MUCC has confirmed the second installment of their annual fan-voted concert series, “Mukkuri Quest LIVE -破-“ (Mukkuri Quest LIVE -Break-), scheduled for June 9, 2026—the traditional “MUCC Day.” This special event allows fans to vote on which songs the band will perform, making each setlist unique and driven entirely by listener choice.
But there’s more. On August 1, 2026, MUCC will hold an additional live at Gorilla Hall Osaka titled “Mukkuri Quest LIVE -破- EXTRA,” where the band will perform songs that narrowly missed the voting cut from the June event, hand-selected by the members themselves.
About MUCC: Formed in 1997, MUCC has become a cornerstone of the Visual Kei movement, evolving from their darker early sound into a more expansive musical palette while maintaining their theatrical identity. Their longevity and willingness to engage directly with fans through interactive events like Quest Live demonstrates why they remain relevant nearly three decades in.
The broadcast will also feature a segment called “Mr. Jack Cuts!” hosted by YUKKE (MUCC), showcasing up-and-coming Visual Kei band カリソメ, who debuted in December 2025 and specialize in underground-inspired live experiences.
