LUNA SEA Announce Arena Shows Following Hometown Tour Opener
LUNA SEA kicked off their nationwide 2026 tour in the most fitting way possible: returning to their roots in Hadano, their home prefecture, on May 29th. The legendary visual rock pioneers wasted no time announcing exciting additions to their schedule, revealing two arena shows coming this December.
The five-piece—vocalist RYUICHI, guitarists SUGIZO and INORAN, bassist J, and drummer Shino—have been pillars of the Japanese rock landscape since their formation in 1989. After achieving massive success throughout the 1990s (their 1994 single “ROSIER” became a runaway hit), they dramatically disbanded in 2000 before rebooting in 2010. Since then, they’ve remained one of the most revered acts in the scene, marked by their theatrical presence and the unmistakable violin-infused guitar work that defines their sound.

The “LUNA SEA TOUR 2026 UNENDING JOURNEY -TO RISE-“ expansion will bring the band to two major venues: the World Memorial Hall in Kobe (December 12–13) and the Ariake Arena in Tokyo (December 19–20). RYUICHI made the announcement directly from the stage during their opening night performance—a fitting touch given the symbolic importance of launching their tour in Hadano, marking the band’s first-ever homecoming show there.
Tickets for these additional dates will be made available through presale for members of SLAVE, the band’s official fan club, with full details coming soon. This marks a significant expansion of what’s already shaping up to be a landmark tour for the enduring legends.
