KISAKI Celebrates 50th Birthday with Album & Final Masquerade Tour
For over three decades, KISAKI has been a godfather figure in Visual Kei—one of the genre’s true architects and a constant driving force shaping the scene. Now, as he marks his 50th birthday in 2026, the legendary bassist and bandleader is marking the milestone in style with a memorial album, sold-out celebration shows, and fresh announcements that prove his influence remains undiminished.
In March, KISAKI released Voice in Sadness, a star-studded memorial album featuring guest appearances from members of today’s most important Visual Kei bands. The production philosophy was clear: honor the past while showcasing the present scene’s vitality. The album contains 12 tracks, including three new songs plus remixes and remastered material, packaged in a luxe 24-page photo booklet.
The celebration kicked off with “BEYOND THE KINGDOM -Fest of Excellence-“ at Osaka’s BigCat on March 15—a show that sold out so completely the venue’s doors couldn’t fully close. Now, KISAKI is doubling down with a follow-up event and new music on the horizon.
What’s Coming Next:
New Album: A fresh studio release drops September 30, 2026. Details coming soon.
