FOMARE Announce Inaugural Two-Stage Festival in Gunma
FOMARE just made a major announcement at their first-ever Nippon Budokan solo show: they’re launching their own festival, and it’s coming back bigger than before.
On May 22, the Gunma-based rock band performed a sold-out headline at Japan’s most prestigious concert hall, capping off an exhilarating two-hour set spanning 27 songs. During the encore, they revealed that FOMARE Continent (FOMARE大陸) will return on October 12, 2026, at G-Messe Gunma in their hometown of Takasaki. The announcement reportedly drew roaring cheers from the crowd.

FOMARE Continent first debuted in 2022, establishing itself as a platform to support the local Gunma music scene. The 2024 edition expanded to two days, featuring a diverse lineup of artists. This October’s iteration will be historic: for the first time, the festival will operate as a two-stage event, allowing FOMARE to showcase even more talent simultaneously.
The timing arrives as the band approaches a significant milestone. Formed in 2015, FOMARE will mark their tenth anniversary in 2025, and they’re currently mid-way through an ambitious all-47-prefectures tour (OVER TOUR 25-26), which wraps in Okinawa on June 20. The Budokan show stands as a powerful testament to their growing reach—a far cry from their Gunma roots.
